Chateau L'Ecuyer

Château L’Ecuyer is located in the Pomerol appellation on the high plateau. The excellent clay and gravel soils are capable of producing profoundly elegant wines. The wines from this property are aged in 100% new French oak barriques. It is owned and managed by the Petit family who also own Château Tournefeuille and Château La Révérence.

Located close to the church in Pomerol, the vines are planted on soils comprising of clay and gravel soils. Grapes are sorted on arrival at the winery the destemmed, pressed and put to ferment directly in new oaks, cold pre-fermenting maceration and hot post-fermentation. Malo-lactic fermentation in new oaks. Ageing takes place in new oak barrels for 12 months.

Representing excellent quality and value in this prestigious Appellation, we have a real soft spot for Emeric Petit's Bordeaux wines that also age well and therefore offer the wine enthusiast an opportunity to purchase some Bordeaux for laying down at relatively low price. If you'd like more information or advice on laying these wines down then please call Jason Cozzi on 01223-265589.
