Michele Laluce has depth in his looks and appearance, rough-hewn he is a true farmer and a fine representative of the genuine Vulture farming heritage. A man of few words but plenty of action he will usually be found amongst his Aglianico vines tending them and nutturing them like a father to his children. A generous soul, kind and with that southern Italian warmth that everybody loves, its no wonder he is so highly respected in his territory and one of the leading estates in Basilicata.
In Le Drude Aglianico del Vulture Michele has pushed the boundaries and expectations of not only his region but the bottom half of Italy. This is a wine that is worth all the merits of a man and a region on the verge of greatness. Aglianico is being dubbed by advocates and commentators as the "Barolo of the South" and this wine, although not a direct style comparison, is reason why. We have two great vintages on offer and we urge you to try them both, they are fantastic yet sadly in small supply.
