I have always felt that the Aglianico grape variety from Southern Italy had the potential to produce one of the great red wines of all Italy and maybe this red wine exhibits some of this character and greatness.

A dark, concentrated ruby colour with garnet highlights in the glass, delivers intense aromas of red fruits, dark cherry and hints of spiciness. On the palate there is lovely cherry and raspberry fruit flavours that combine nicely with hints of spice. Nicely concentrated with velvety edged tannins and great depth - a long lived classy wine. We suggest a 2 hour decant on this wine to lift out all the character lying beneath.
