I have spent much of that time travelling around the world in search of greater wine knowledge and experience. This is my education in all things wine and yet I am only at the beginning. Wine is constantly evolving not just as a commodity but as a science and a passion for those who continue to push the boundaries
When you visit my shop you won’t receive any pretentious wine jargon to decipher - what you will find is a passionate wine enthusiast who wants to share his knowledge to help customers get more enjoyment from wine. I run a sustainable, ethical wine business that has lasted over 20 years, importing many of the wines I sell, direct from the winemaker.
Every bottle that I sell, whether it be wine, beer or spirits, has been taste tested by me, against its rivals, to meet what I call my “price, quality ratio” or in other words “value for money”, whatever the price you have paid for it.
One of the great benefits of being small and independent is that I don’t have to conform to mass market trends that come and go. I am free to explore what is good and great about what’s in my glass and in the end, many will agree, that is all that matters.
I am proud to say I have a growing band of long standing, loyal and satisfied customers, many of whom, I can also call friends and together we explore wine with a passion and not just merely as a drink. When we get back to some form of normality, I will look forward to sharing a glass of wine with many of you, once again, sitting at the same table, enjoying good times.
